About TUMJ

The publication of the first issue of this journal dates back to 1945 as the first scientific journal in Iran. Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) is the oldest and the main university of the country. Our journal is one of the TUMS publications releasing monthly; written in Persian language with English language abstracts and references. The main scope of this open access journal is basic and clinical medical studies from Iranian and international authors. Editorial Boards of TUMJ are specialists in all fields of basic and clinical medical sciences from all over the world. Nevertheless our target audience includes the entire medical personnel worldwide depending upon their access to the journal and the feasibility for us to place it at their disposal. This is a peer review journal and received articles in our office are approximately 50 per month and about 70% of this number would be rejected.

Article Processing Charges (APC)
As Tehran University of Medical Sciences is supporting most of the publishing costs of Tehran University Medical Journal, article processing charge and any other publication fees in the journal are free for authors.
Subscription
Tehran University Medical Journal is published as an open access electronic journal, so there is no subscription fee for audiences.
Advertisements
Tehran University Medical Journal accepts NO advertisements in the journal website and articles.
